Description
Hérode Atticus, un riche romain, fit construire cet amphithéâtre grandiose en 161 après JC en mémoire de sa défunte épouse, Regilla. Après avoir été fouillé en 1857-58, l'amphithéâtre a été entièrement restauré dans les années 1950.
